Meyer Lydith / Pentacon 30mm f/3.5

The Lydith, despite being designed for economic choice, proved to be a superb performer. Its always produced in pre-set version for M42. While the later version ( naming only as Pentacon ) was noticebly better probably due to much improved coatings

I just came across one of these, the lens label is “Meyer-Optick G??rlitz”. One noticeable difference with this lens description is that mine (serial 4554347) has an 8 blades iris. Also, it is worth noting that there is no A/M switch on it (and therefore no lever at the tail end) and that the apperture ring is in front of the lens, with the focus ring at the back.
